Dolly quilt with pillows

This months Mini Quilt Along is a super fun and cute dolly quilt for a child’s dolls bed. The quilt is a good size for American Girl, Generation Girl and other similar sized dolls.

Along with the quilt there is instruction for the Pillows including the pillow pads and also for cushions using up the leftover fabric from the quilt.

There is a PDF downloadable pattern/tutorial below the post. In English and one in Danish.

You can make the quilt, pillows and cushions using yardage or dig into your scrap basket and have fun using them up.

I used my scraps from my Liberty cotton lawn prints stash, this fabric is a lot finer than traditional quilting fabric, I had no problems sewing it and really love the super soft results, I think I will have to make a full size quilt like it for myself.

I used 100% cotton flannel for the batting to make the quilt a little softer so it would drape more realistically on a dolls bed.

The pillowcases are removable and have little pillows inside making them easy to wash or if you wanted you could make some more covers and change them as the seasons change, what fun.

I made a white sheet for my dolls bed using a fat-quarter which I just hemmed all around and gave it a good press. You could add elastic to the corners to make it more fitted.

Some colour ideas for your cushions, quilt and pillows.
