Connie’s passed her test!
Connie and I had a fabulous day today working on her Longarm Certificate class, which she passed with flying colours!
Connie worked on free motion fillers, simple borders, many different stashing solutions, corner stones and many technical aspects of the Longarm.
Connie used the free quilt with batting, backing and thread. All the fabric used in the quilt are from Helene’s fabulous fabric store #helenejuuldesign
It was pieced by myself and is approximately 50” square, great for picnic’s!

Jeg afholder et kursus i at bruge mine maskiner, så du kan kvalificere dig til at bruge maskinerne på egen hånd.
I undervisningen deltager der 2 personer, så undervisningen kan intensiveres. Undervisningstiden er normalt 3 timer, men er du ikke færdig på de 3 timer , er det også ok . Du kan quilte på en quilt som er højest 50 gange 50 inch, det er 130 gange 130 cm. med mellemfor og bagstykke, som du selv har medbragt.
Det koster 1200 kr.

At tråde maskinen og at finde den rette tråd
At spole og skifte spoler med undertråden
At fastgøre din quilt på maskinens ramme med de tre lag
Hvordan man justerer spændingen
Hvordan man holder på maskinen
Hvordan man kan udfylde tomme felter
Hvordan du tager den færdige quilt af rammen
Du skal medbringe en maske på grund af Covid 19 og evt. en lille snack til en pause.
Du skal være villig til at lære og måske også lave nogle fejl under vejs.
Du får tråd og din egen quilte engel med i forløbet, så det kan ikke være lettere.

A Note Regarding my COVID-19 Precautions
Because I care……..
1. All customers and employees must have a mask on. I care about you and will have masks available for purchase should you need one.
2. I have a hand sanitizer at the entrance and we kindly ask you to grab a squirt as you enter.
3. There will only have a limited number of renters allowed in the rental room at once and only the person renting will be allowed to be around or use the machines. So, please do not bring friends or family with you to your rental.

*Minimum rental is 2 hours. A deposit of 300kr is required to reserve rental time. If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel with less than 24 hours, we will move your deposit to a different date of your choosing but it will not be refunded.
Both of my machines have stitch regulation, patterns, thread, ruler bases and rulers and your very own quilt angel at hand at all times to help you if needed.

4. During your rental you can stop the clock for 30 mins to eat- just notify me or your quilt angel. Please use this time to take a break and grab something to eat, I recommend you pack a mini picnic!
There is hot and cold water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies available free at the studio.
Ready to rent a longarm machine to finish your quilts yourself? At DaisyQuiltsForYou 2 I have everything you need to make it easy. To be qualified to rent by the hour you’ll need to take the Rental Certification Class.
The class class is kept to no more than two students so you can focused attention. The class generally runs about 3.00 hours and costs 1200kr
At the class you will learn to:
Thread the machine.
How to fill and change the bobbin.
Oil the machine regularly.
How to attach your quilt back to the longarm machine frame
How to pick out the right color thread
How to load your quilt to the frame
How to correctly hold the machine.
How to adjust your tension
How to Advance, Baste and Clamp
How to fill in negative spaces
How to remove the finished quilt from the frame
And have time for some fun quilting.

Forest quilt , this quilt will be flying off to Scotland, a thank you gift to a lovely woman who has been doing my mum’s shopping for her during all of the lockdown all year, it’s a small token of gratitude to a wonderful person. My mums 85 years old and lives a long way from any shops and can’t drive anymore due to her eyesight.
