Tove’s picnic perfect

Tove started this quilt many years ago with fabric she bought on holiday.

IMG_4622

Tove is not a quilter and just had fun cutting up the fabric and stitching it all together.

IMG_4621

She added a blue border and black binding to cool down the bright yellow and a super gingham backing so it can be used either way at a picnic or on a table as a table cloth.

I quilted it using yellow thread with a big feather meander. A great quilt with lots of memories for Tove.

Anne’s super snowman christmas

IMG_4568

Anne brought me a  Christmas quilt with super cute applique snowmen in red and white,

IMG_4563

I quilted a snowflake on each od the corner stars in white and a red snowflake in the centre of the quilt, then did a simple meander all over.

The snowmen are just so adorable.

Back view of some of the snowflakes.

A lovely quiltin my favourite red and white.

Elisabeths applique beauty

IMG_4541

Elisabeth’s beautiful hand stitched applique quilt was a real treat to quilt.

IMG_4528

So many pretty fabric perfectly stitched.

We decided on a small feather meander all over then decided to add a small feather wreath in between the blocks.

IMG_4546

I quilted a simple design on the circle blocks as I felt that to much quilting on the lovely blocks was not needed.

The centre block again was simply quilted.

IMG_4547

I used a matching soft grey matt thread.

IMG_4544

I am very pleased with the over all effect.

Annette’s two quilts

I spent an afternoon at Helene’s Juul’s shop  http://www.helenejuul.dk/bestilling.htm  and offered 50% longarm quilting vouchers for that day only. Annette was one of the lucky ladies to get a voucher and are the first to be finished.

IMG_4469

The first one was a twin size quilt with hand stitched apples all over it.

IMG_4483

WE decided to costom quilt the apples with matching thread and do a simple on the black background in a black thread.

IMG_4459

I quilted a tiny ladybug on each cornerstone for run.

Kirsten’s custom panto quilt

Kirsten gave me a beautiful quilt top in soft pink and greenroses, it really needed to have something a little romantic quilted on it and Kirsten agreed to try out the Custom Panto designs I do, its like getting your quilt custom quilted at ege to edge panto prices. I will custom quilt the corners and middle of the quilt then meander a simple design in the remaining quilt, the result is lovely as you will see and the quilt is super soft too. See what you think.

Dont forget I will be at Helene Juul’s faboulous fabric store, http://www.helenejuul.dk/bestilling.htm, on Sat 7th Oct  from 12 – 14.00 where I will be doing a show and tell and giving out 50% off longarm quilting vouchers!!! WOW!! Custom quilting at half price!!! WOW!!

Amber at the Glasgow School of Art Quilt

I had a supertime making and quilting this quilt for Amber who is studing at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland, my sister Susan bought a big bundle of fabric at Helene Juul’s faboulous fabric store, http://www.helenejuul.dk/bestilling.htm, check it out or better still come to the shop on Sat 7th Oct where I will be doing a show and tell and giving out 50% off longarm quilting vouchers!!! WOW!! Susan gave me the bundle and said make me a quilt for Amber, please. Here it is, I first made as many drunkards path quarter blocks as I could, made a big star for the backing saved some fabric for the binding and  had some fun on the design wall, then the best bit, quilting, I used lots of different colours of thread and lots of circle designs and freemotin quilting.
