A few years ago I started making some red and white bears paw blocks.

I picked some of my favourite red fabrics.

My friends gave me some of their favourite red fabrics.

I used the left over red solid fabric from my applique quilt Grannies Garden to make the sashing.

And the left over reds to make big half square triangles for the border.

I found some super soft gingham fabric in Aahrus for the backing

I quilted it with a feather design in the blocks and a medium meander on the shasing and borders.

I made the blocks inSaudi Arabia, pieced the top in Devon England and quilted and bound the finished quild here in beautiful Denmark!
