Elin’s beautiful quilt.

I had instructions not to quilt on the embroidery.

I quilted simple flowers on the hexagons, tiny loops on the small borders, feather blocks on the outer border with a tiny meander on the dark blue blocks seaprating the feathers and in the ditch around every block.

I used five different coloured threads on this quilt!

Elin used a lovely wide fabric she got from http://www.helenejuul.dk/butik.htm for the backing, it was a joy to work with with lots of space for practice at the side of the quilt.
