Contemporary Fabric Manipulation

A fabulous new class with Julia Triston, award winning fabric artist and published author of three books. Julia, from the UK has been living in Denmark for just over one year. She has a beginner knowledge of Danish.

Explore exciting, contemporary ways to manipulate fabrics to create contrasting raised and textured surfaces. Using only neutral coloured fabrics and hand stitch, you will experiment with several techniques to build up a series of practical samples or mini art works, or one abstract ‘picture’. You will leave the workshop with lots of ideas that can be applied to many projects in quilting, fashion, embroidery, jewellery/accessory making etc.
